If you’re relocating to the Boca area, if you ask someone for something fun and low cost, there is a good possibility they will mention Gumbo Limbo.

Gumbo Limbo is a combination of Sea Turtle Rehabilitation, aquariums, nature center, and outdoor walking trails including butterfly garden. For more than 40 years, the 20 acres of protected land has been a refuge to various plants and animals.  Gumbo Limbo is in fact a cooperative project of Florida Atlantic University (FAU), the city of Boca Raton, the Greater Boca Raton Beach and Park District, and Gumbo Limbo Coastal Stewards.

There are over 815 Costco location throughout the U.S. with several located in South Florida. Costco is a membership based bulk retailer, similar to B.J.s Warehouse and Sam’s Club.  According to online info, Costco was the fifth largest retailer in the U.S. in 2020. If you are living in Boca Raton and find yourself in need of urgent care at the emergency room, you have two options. There is a location both in East Boca and West Boca. The information here does not include any MDNow locations or other urgent care facilities.

In West Boca located on SR 7/441 in between Palmetto Park Rd and Glades Rd is West Boca Medical Center. The opposite side of Boca Raton, east of I-95 yet still between Palmetto Park and Glades Rd is Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital.

If you’re in need of library services and live within Boca Raton city limits, then you have two choices for library locations. The Boca Raton library has everything from books to magazines, board games to jigsaw puzzles, and DVD’s and eBooks. In addition to these resources, the libraries have a full calendar of events for all ages: children to adult. You can stop in for a class on Extreme Couponing, learn Adobe Photoshop, or take a language class. For the younger kids, they have group book readings, toddler tales, or even just family story time.

Copperfish Kitchen labels itself a A Modern Eatery Serving Globally-Influenced, Fresh Sustainable Seafood.  To compete well in Boca Raton and with areas like Delray Beach and Deerfield Beach, a strong happy hour is a must. Copperfish Kitchen in Boca Center is going after that arena.

Unlike many restaurants, Copperfish happy hour applies to the bar and dine in area. Happy hour specials are Sunday to Friday 3-7pm, and Thursday all day (so no Saturday).
